Pastoral Search Updates

Each month the Ivy Chapel Council will provide an update to the Ivy community in the monthly newsletter, The Ivy Vine, regarding the search for our new Pastor.  If there are special updates those will also be announced in the weekly KYP’s and posted on the website here.

November Update:
The Interim team will be hosting fellowship times after worship on the first and third Sundays in November and December to come together and talk about what the future should include for the church. If you have specific ideas please reach out to one of the committee members-Dottie Foster, Jim French, Tom Glenn, Tara Lowry, Gail Thoele, Valerie Waterman, and Jan Wirtz.

October Update:
The Interim Transition Team had their first meeting on September 30th. They are beginning the process and will be having informal coffee get togethers the first Sunday of the month in November and December immediately following worship to talk about the future of the church. All are invited and welcome!

September Update:
The Interim Transition Team have their first meeting on September 30th. They will begin the process of working as a committee and with member input to formulate the plans for the future of Ivy and who we are looking for to lead in that part of the journey.

July Update:
We have asked the Rev. Dr. Carol Trissell to be our Intentional Interim Pastor and she has agreed to begin starting August 1, 2025. The position has an expected duration of 12 to 18 months while Ivy searches for our Settled Pastor. Please follow this link to find the Moderator’s letter to the congregation concerning this matter.

The various committees and the Ivy Chapel Council are excited to move forward on this new adventure together as we enter the next chapter in the ‘life of Ivy Chapel’.
