Prayers of Joy and Gratitude

~ Joyful anticipation of the upcoming Celebration of Laura Mignerone’s Ordination at Ivy Chapel UCC  (3 PM on Sun., Jan 29).

~ Thanks and praise to God for the continuing recovery of Carolyn Wolff.  (1/21) 

~ Praise God for favorable medical test results!  We are grateful.

~ Glory be to God for the phenomenal, faithful, extrvagant response to our Mission:1 Offering Invitations at Ivy Chapel UCC and throughout  the United Church of Christ!   Put it all together and many lives will be positively affected by the gifts received during our ‘11 Powerful Days’  [ 11.1.11 - 11.11.11  ]     To God all praise and glory.  (11/11)     www.ucc.org/mission1 

~ Laura Mignerone received and accepted God’s call on to serve as pastor and teacher of Zion United Church of Christ in Troy, Missouri.  Praise God for filling Laura with the Holy Spirit and with faithfulness to respond to God’s calling!   What a gift from God for Ivy Chapel UCC to serve as Laura’s nurturing, home congregation.  (10/9)

~ Ann Roberson (friend of S. Wilson) had surgery Jan. 23.   Thank you, God, for survival following surgery.  Now, we pray for healing.  (1/25)

God is still speaking…

On the last day of the Festival of the Tabernacles, the great day, while Jesus was standing there, he cried out, “Let anyone who  is thirsty come to me, and let the one who believes in me drink.  As the scripture has said, ‘Out of the believer’s heart shall flow rivers of living water.’”   – John 7:37-38
