Prayers of Intercession

Prayers for all people in Gaza.  May the world actively, compassionately minister to grieving, injured, fearful, homeless, hungry or despondent people of the region. – July 7, 2024

Prayers for “de-escalation” of international tensions in the Middle East.  Prayers that the nation of Israel will not retaliate against Iran in light of the April 13 Iranian bombardment of Israel. Shalom, shalom, shalom,…

Prayers for all people living in the Middle East.  Prayers for residents of the Gaza Peninsula, for Palestinians, for Israelis, for Muslims, Jews, Christians, people of all faith traditions, and people affiliated with no faith tradition.  All are children of God.

Prayers for all victims (physical, emotional, spiritual) of the March 22 terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall in Moscow, Russia.

Prayers for the victims of the October 25 shooting in Lewiston, Maine. (2023)

Prayers for all human beings who are in the Middle East; especially civilians living in Gaza. We pray to God that forthcoming actions will not lead to injury or death of more innocent people.  An all-out, Israeli military assault on Gaza is not a solution.  Brutal, ruthless Israeli retaliation for the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack will not result in security or peace.

Prayers for peace in the nation of Ukraine.  May God be present.

Prayers for a major reduction in gun violence.  The atrocity of recurring “mass shootings” in the U. S. A. is a grievous circumstance which is unacceptable to God, and God summons all people of faith to take action for change.

Prayers for the victims of the March 16 shootings in Atlanta, Georgia. (2021)

Prayers on behalf of people in Nashville, Tennessee in the aftermath of the tragic Christmas Day bombing there.  Peace, peace to God’s people.

A petition prayer –  appealing to God for wisdom and guidance for all humankind as we seek to respond together to threats posed by the spreading Coronavirus.  (March, 2020)

Humbly we turn to our Creator God asking for guidance for all world leaders during the beginning of New Year 2020 when people are experiencing heightened international conflict.  We lift our eyes to the hills, and we pray for your help, O God.  Let us live with devotion to being considerate of your precious creation and of all who inhabit Earth.  Help all people to offer great care to our words and actions.  May you, O Spirit of Peace, lead humankind.

A movement towards peace, compassion, kindness and goodwill in the hearts of all people.  (submitted during Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018 worship)

Our love and prayers reach out to the victims of the March  20, 2018 mass shooting at Great Mills High School in Great Mills, Maryland.

Our love and prayers reach out to the victims of the Feb. 14, 2018 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

Our love and prayers reach out to the victims of the deplorable Nov. 24, 2017 violence at the North Sinai Rawda mosque in Egypt.

We pray for God to intercede in matters of racial and religious tension across the nation and throughout the world.  Every one of God’s children is important and God loves each one.
