Ivy Chapel is proud to support the Hope for Haiti benefit concert at Parkway United Church of Christ (2841 N. Ballas Road.) This family-oriented concert is at 7 p.m., July 10. Tickets are $10. Doors open at 6:30.

The Hope for Haiti concert is an evening of music and community to raise funds to support our Haitian neighbors who are recovering from the tragic and devastating January 2010 earthquakes.

Popular recording artists Brian Sirchio and Karen Hylton will perform.

We will be selling tickets after worship at Ivy Chapel on July 4.

This benefit concert is through Global Ministries of the Christian Church (DOC) & The United Church of Christ.

Please contact us if you have questions about the concert or about Hope for Haiti.

Update: After only two weeks, we have surpassed last year’s total and are almost there for our 2010 goal of $1,000! Can you help us reach — or even surpass the goal? Buy a block for Dad in honor of Father’s Day… or anytime during June. Check out the lego house in Fellowship Hall after worship on Sundays. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far… you are helping make a local family’s dream of home ownership come true! If you have questions, please contact us.

It’s time again for the Habitat for Humanity Lego House Fundraiser!  Last year we raised $890 for Habitat for Humanity in St. Louis. Help us top $1000 this year. Look for the Lego House table in Fellowship Hall after worship or designate your special offering during worship for this very special cause. They say your home is your castle… let’s help a St. Louis family build their own castle, while we build a miniature one! Lego blocks are $10 each.

New this year… Want an extra-special way to honor someone on a holiday or birthday this summer? Buy a lego block in their name! Instead of a gaudy tie this Father’s Day, give Dad something that will have a lasting impact on the community! If you wish to designate a gift, visit the table in Fellowship Hall during coffee hour or see  Marsha Ramey.
