Responsive Call to Worship
One: The earth is alive with the splendor of God!
All: We thank God for love!
One: Our God generously shares love.
All: Together, let us rejoice and worship God!
Responsive Prayer of Invocation
One: Let us pray.
All: God of Generous Love, you are the very breath of life within every human being. We praise you for your abundant blessings! This opportunity to offer you our gifts and to receive nourishment from you fills us with joy.
You are a Gracious and Loving God! Open our hearts to receive you. Jesus, you are our Risen Savior. We long to follow you by walking in your footsteps. O Spirit of Christ, breathe among us and breathe within us now as we worship you. Amen.
Hymn/ “More Love to Thee” (#428)
More love to Thee, O Christ, more love to Thee!
Hear Thou the prayer I make On Bended Knee;
This is my earnest plea: More love, O Christ, to Thee,
More love to Thee, More love to Thee!
Once earthly joy I craved, Sought peace and rest;
Now Thee alone I seek, Give what is best;
This all my prayer shall be: More, love, O Christ, to Thee,
More love to Thee, More love to Thee!
Let sorrow do its work, Send grief and pain;
Sweet are Thy messengers, Sweet their refrain,
When they can sing with me; More love, O Christ, to Thee,
More love to Thee, More love to Thee!
Then shall my latest breath Whisper Thy praise;
This be the parting cry My heart shall raise;
This still its prayer shall be; More love, O Christ, to Thee,
More love to Thee, More love to Thee!

I’m forgiven because You were forsaken.
I’m accepted, You were condemned
I’m alive and well
Your Spirit is within me
Because You died and rose again
Amazing love, how can it be
That You, my King, would die for me?
Amazing love, I know it’s true
It’s my joy to honor You.
In all I do I honor You
You are my King
You are my King
Jesus, You are my King
Jesus, You are my King
Amazing love, how can it be
That You, my King, would die for me?
Amazing love, I know it’s true
It’s my joy to honor You.
In all I do I honor You

The’oppressed shall be the first to see The year of god’s own jubilee! - Live into hope the blind shall see With insight and with clarity,
Removing shades of pride and fear – A vision of our Got brought near. - Live into hope of liberty, The right to speak, the right to be,
The right to have one’s daily bread, To hear God’s word and thus be fed. - Live into hope of captives freed From chains of fear or want or greed.
God now proclaims our full release To faith and hope and joy and peace.

This week’s order for worship:
Prelude/ Anna DiVesta
Invocation (Call to Worship; Prayer) / Pastor Dan
Hymn/ “O Love That Will Not Let Me Go” #439
O Love That Will Not Let Me Go
- O Love that will not let me go, I rest my weary soul in Thee;
I give Thee back the life I owe, That in Thine ocean depths its flow
May richer, fuller be. - O Light that foll’west all my way, I yield my flickering torch to Thee;
My heart restores its borrowed ray, That in Thy sunshine’s blaze its day
May brighter, fairer be. - O Joy that seekest me through pain, I cannot close my heart to Thee;
I trace the rainbow through the rain, And feel the promise is not vain
That morn shall tearless be. - O Cross that lightest up my head, I dare not ask to fly from thee;
I lay in dust life’s glory dead, And from the ground there blossoms red
Life that shall endless be.
Children’s Message/ Linda Lowry
Special Music/ Anna
Scripture Reading 1 John 4:8-20 / Pastor Dan
Message (concludes w/ prayer) / Pastor Dan
Hymn/ “Love Lifted Me” #317
Love Lifted Me
- I was sinking deep in sin, Far from the peaceful shore,
Very deeply stained within, Sinking to rise no more;
But the Master of the sea Heard my despairing cry,
From the waters lifted me, Now safe am I.
CHORUS
Love lifted me! Love lifted me!
When nothing else could help, Love lifted me.
Love lifted me! Love lifted me!
When nothing else could help, Love lifted me.
- All my heart to Him I give, Ever to Him I’ll cling,
In His blessed presence live, Ever His praises sing.
Love so mighty and so true Merits my soul’s best songs;
Faithful, loving service too To Him belongs.
CHORUS
- Souls in danger, look above, Jesus completely saves;;
He will lift you by His love Out of the angry waves.
He’s the Master of the sea, Billows His will obey;
He our Savior wants to be – Be saved today.
Benediction / Pastor Dan

Sermon/Prayer/ Dan
Hymn/ “I Then Shall Live” (#133)
I Then Shall Live
- I then shall live as one who’s been forgiven; I’ll walk with joy to know my debts are paid.
I know my name is clear before my Father; I am His child, and I am not afraid.
So greatly pardoned, I’ll forgive my brother; The law of lover I gladly will obey. - I then shall live as one who’s learned compassion; I’ve been so loved that I’ll risk loving, too.
I know how fear builds walls instead of bridges; I dare to see another’s poinot of view.
And when relationships demand commitment, Then I’ll be there to care and follow through. - Your kingdom come around and thru and in me, Your pow’r and glory, let them shine thru me;
Your pow’r and glory, let them shine thru me; Your Hallowed Name, O may I bear with honor,
And may Your living Kingdom come in me.
The Bread of Life, O may I share with honor, And may you fee a hungry world thru me.
Benediction/ Dan

In this very room there’s quite enough love for one like me,
And in this very room there’s quite enough joy for one like me;
And there’s quite enough hope, and quite enough pow’r to chase away any gloom,
For Jesus, Lord Jesus, is in this very room.
- In this very room there’s quite enough love for all of us,
And in this very room there’s quite enough joy for all of us;
And there’s quite enough hope, and quite enough pow’r to chase away any gloom,
For Jesus, Lord Jesus, is in this very room. - In this very room there’s quite enough lover for all the world,
And in this very room there’s quite enough joy for all the world;
And there’s quite enough hope, and quite enough pow’r to chase away any gloom,
For Jesus, Lord Jesus, is in this very room.

Hymn/ “To God Be the Glory” (# 79)

Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
And opened the Lifegate that all may go in.
REFRAIN
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father thro’ Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory, great things He hath done.
- O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.
REFRAIN
- Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done,
And great our rejoicing thro’ Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see.

This week’s hymns:
Great Is Thy Faithfulness
- Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father,
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions they fail not;
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.
REFRAIN
Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided-
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
- Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.
REFRAIN
- Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!
REFRAIN
Pass Me Not
- Pass me not, O gentle Savior – Hear my humble cry!
While on others Thou art calling, Do not pass me by.
CHORUS
Savior, Savior, Hear my humble cry!
While on others Thou art calling, Do not pass me by.
- Let me at a throne of mercy Find a sweet relief;
Kneeling there in deep contritions, Help my unbelief.
CHORUS
- Trusting only in Thy merit, Would I seek Thy face;
Heal my wounded, broken spirit, Save me by Thy grace.
CHORUS
- Thou the spring of all my comfort, More than life to me!
Whom have I on earth beside Thee? Whom in heav’n but Thee?

This week’s hymns:
Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing
- Come, Thou Fount of every blessing, Tune my heart to sing Thy grace;
Streams of mercy, never ceasing, Call for songs of loudest praise.
Teach me some melodious sonnet, Sound by flaming tongues above;
Praise His name – I’m fixed upon it – Name of God’s redeeming love. - Here I raise mine Ebenezer, Hither by Thy help I’m come;
And I hope, by Thy good pleasure, Safely to arrive at home.
Jesus sought me when a stranger, Wandering from the fold of God;
He, to rescue me from danger, Bought me with His precious blood. - O to grace how great a debtor Daily I’m constrained to be!
Let Thy goodness, like a fetter, Bind my wandering heart to Thee;
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, Prone to leave the God I love;
Here’s my heart, O take and seal it; Seal it for Thy courts above.
Give to the Winds Your Fears
- Give to the winds your fears, Hope, and be undismayed;
God hears your sighs and counts your tears, God shall lift up your head.
Through waves and clouds and storms He gently clears the way;
Wait for His time, so shall the night Soon end in joyous day. - Still heavy is your heart? Still sink your spirits down?
Cast off the weight, let fear depart, And every care be gone.
He everywhere has sway And all things serve His mind;
His every act pure blessing is, His path unsullied light. - Far, far above your thought His counsel shall appear,
When fully He the work has wrought That caused your needless fear.
Leave to His sovereign will To choose and to command;
With wonder filled, you then shall own How wise, how strong His hand.

This week’s hymns:
It Took a Miracle
- My Father is omnipotent, And that you can’t deny;
A God of might and miracles – ’Tis written in the sky.
REFRAIN
It took a miracle to put the stars in place,
It took a miracle to hang the world in space;
But when He saved my soul, Cleansed and made me whole,
It took a miracle of love and Grace.
- Tho’ here His glory has been shown, We still can’t fully see
The wonders of His might, His throne, ’Twill take eternity.
REFRAIN
- The Bible tells us of His pow’r And wisdom all way thro’:
And every little bird and flow’r Are testimonies, too.
REFRAIN
Here, O my Lord, I see Thee
- Here, O my Lord, I see Thee face to face;
Here would I touch and handle things unseen,
Here grasp with firmer hand th’eternal grace,
And all my weariness upon Thee lean. - Here would I feed upon the bread of God;
Here drink with Thee the royal wine of heav’n;
Here would I lay aside each earthly load,
Here taste afresh the calm of sin forgiv’n. - I have no help but Thine; nor do I need
Another arm save Thine to lean upon;
It is enough, my Lord, enough indeed;
My strength is in Thy might, Thy might alone. - Mine is the sin, but Thine the righteousness;
Mine is the guilt, but Thine the cleansing blood.
Here is my robe, my refuge, and my peace,
Ty blood, Thy righteousness, O Lord, my God.
