Diaper Drive for St. Louis Area Diaper Bank

Did you know that babies require up to 12 diapers per day – which can cost up to $100 per month? That’s nearly 10% of someone’s yearly income living at the poverty line. But you can’t buy diapers with food stamps or get them through the WIC program.

Ivy Chapel wants to help! We’re joining the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank’s FILL THE WAREHOUSE campaign. Now through October 10th, we’re collecting size 5 and 6 diapers in the narthex.

Stand Strong! Include Ivy Chapel’s VBS in your summer plans.

Be sure to mark off July 22-26 for Ivy Chapel’s youth Vacation Bible School. This year, we’re headed to Medieval times  with Kingdom Rock – where kids stand strong for God.

Ivy’s VBS runs from Monday, July 22 to Friday, July 26, 9 a.m. to noon and includes bible stories, music, crafts, games and snacks. Each day, campers will learn how we can all “stand strong” as children of God.

Join us this summer for Ivy Chapel UCC’s Vacation Bible School!

Several members of Ivy Chapel have lent their creative expertise over the past several weeks painting and cleaning our nursery. The freshened, kid-friendly space is now ready. Join us as we unveil the new nursery during a short ceremony after worship on Nov. 14.

Thank you to the Christian Education Board and the Trustees, and to the Alpha Omega and Ark youth groups for their help. A special thanks to Jan Wirtz, Mike Tichy, Jason Lowry and everyone who lent their artistic talents to the beautiful new space.

Here are some teaser photos of the work in progress:
