Are you among the less-than-10%? That’s how many people donate blood. But at some point, anyone could need blood due to an accident, surgery or severe illness. Blood supplies are dangerously low, so we need your help. Ivy Chapel is hosting an ImpactLife Blood Drive on Thursday, May 11 from 2 to 6 p.m.
Schedule your appointment time here, or contact event coordinator Sue Wilson at 314-324-3765. Thank you for giving the gift of life!

PRELUDE – Gigue – D. Wagner
*CALL TO WORSHIP
One: God alone is our strength and shield.
All: God does not always come as earthquake, wind or fire.
One: Sometimes, God is revealed in moments of silence.
All: In quiet expectation, we have entered this sanctuary.
One: This is a place of healing and joy.
All: As our souls thirst for Living Water, we long to worship God.
*HYMN – As the Deer Pants for the Water – worship booklet, p. 26
As the deer pants for the water
So my soul longs after You
You alone are my heart’s desire
And I long to worship You
Chorus:
You alone are my strength, my shield,
To You alone may my spirit yield;
You alone are my heart’s desire
And I long to worship You!
I want you more than gold or silver,
Only you can satisfy
You alone are the real joy giver
And the apple of my eye.
Chorus
You’re my friend and You are my brother
Even though You are a King
I love You more than any other
So much more than anything!
Chorus
*PRAYER OF INVOCATION
Eternal God, you are Companion of all who seek you, and Seeker of all who turn away from you. With complete trust in you, we come to you. Draw near to us now. Renew us during this time of worship. May we live as you live within us–faithfully, joyfully, and abundantly!
Ever-present God, your Word teaches us to cast our cares on you, since we realize that you care for us. Guide each of us as we continue serving you by joyously offering your love and compassion to all people. We pray in your holy name, Jesus. Amen.
*PRAISE RESPONSE – Bless the Lord, O My Soul – #85

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind but now I see
‘Twas Grace that taught my heart to fear,
And Grace, my fears relieved;
How precious did that Grace appear
The hour I first believed!
Through many dangers, toils and snares,
We have already come;
‘Tis Grace that brought us safe thus far,
And Grace will lead us home.
When we’ve been there then thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we first begun.
